Supporting you, supporting your family!
From our base in Seaford we provide support services to families across the town to help those who, for whatever reason are struggling in their family situations. We are a Christian charity supported by local Seaford churches and organisations however are not biased against any faith. Our heart is to offer the love of God to those who are hurting within our town and community.
Our services are split into 5 main areas:
Waves drop-in centre
Our drop-in centre on 8 Church street (opposite the police station) is manned Monday to Thursday 9.30 – 12.30 and provides:
- A clean/comfortable and safe place to meet
- Changing facilities
- Baby feeding facilities
- Free refreshments
- Volunteers on hand to chat with
- Free wifi and web access
Please feel free to come along and visit us!
We run a Free Bump2babies group at King’s church, Steyne Road on a Thursday (term time only) for pregnant mothers and children up to 15months old. 1-2.pm
Sometimes families require a little extra support and this is where our family worker comes in. They will come and assess your situation and then advise on how best we, or other organisations may be able to help. Please note we do not provide financial support but maybe able to direct you to organisations who can.
One of our most popular services is our in-school listening service for children in the primary schools of Seaford and Alfriston. With carer consent, this allows children the opportunity to talk through issues that might be concerning or worrying them.
We can offer access to counselling/therapy to our clients, irrespective of age, gender, sexual orientation, culture, race or religion. There is a charge for this service but we can offer some financial help if needed.
Counselling gives you an opportunity to explore your personal situation in a safe, listening environment and through discussion, advice and direction, see how your situation can be improved and healed.
